I usually write my CSS for Firefox/Opera/Webkit, and then with conditional statements load CSS specifically for IE6. In the IE6 CSS I either reset problematic styles that I have specified in the Firefox/Opera/Webkit CSS, or I just write new styles to over-ride them for IE6.
